Our commitment to service goes beyond the excellent care we provide to our clients. We also invest in the communities where our clients and employees live and work.
Every day, our team of nearly 15,000 employees nationwide provides essential services to more than 14,000 Americans. Whether in supported living, group homes, or day programs, our team members are hard at work in communities providing over 100 million hours of around-the-clock services each year.
Community engagement is an integral part of our culture, as our work integrates our clients and employees into their communities. Throughout the country, we proudly work with nonprofit organizations, including Special Olympics, American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, and many others.
Community Service Challenge
Our LEGACY culture and commitment extend to include the communities of our clients, employees, and partners.
The Community Service Challenge was launched in 1999 to actively encourage our operations to participate in 10 community service projects annually.
The challenge gives employees and the people we support the opportunity to grow and help others in their communities. Community service also gives those we serve the chance to integrate into the community and provides the public with a positive representation of the people we serve.



SHARE Emergency Assistance Program

ResCare Community Living employees generously support co-workers through SHARE, our emergency assistance program that team members and the company jointly fund to provide aid to employees due to an emergency, disaster, or other event. While we are proud to serve some of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens in their communities, this important program helps ensure our employees also have needed support when unexpected circumstances impact their lives or communities.
